CHASHMAY WISHES YOU RAMAZAN MUBARAK

Ramazan Kareem – The Holy month of fasting is on its way and we as a whole are anxiously waiting for it. The month when Muslims fast. Ramazan is when Muslims focus on their faith and invest less energy in the worries of their regular day to day existences. It is a period of worship and consideration.

An Islamic month of fasting, where Muslims forgo eating, drinking from first light until nightfall. In the Qur'an, it is said that

"Fasting has been written down (as obligatory) upon you, as it was upon those before you"

A period for Muslims to fast for God, to make him satisfy and offer more prayers than usual days. Muslims request pardoning of the sins they did in past during Ramazan. They request the right direction and guidance for themselves to carry on with their life in a legitimate religious way. Ramazan is a month where we make an honest effort to refine ourselves through great deeds and helping other people.

The first verses of the Quran were revealed in Ramazan to our adored Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This occurred during a night, accepted to be the 10 last days, believed to be the 27^th day of Holy month. The night is called "Laylat al-Qadr(the evening of declaration or measures.)"

"We have indeed revealed this in the 'Night of Power'. And what will explain to you what the night of power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein come down The Angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand. "Peace!...This until the rise of Morn!"

Ramazan is about making a personal connection deeper with Allah, closes with Eid ul-Fitr on the first of Shawwal, with much celebration around family and friends.
